One of India’s largest tyre manufacturers CEAT Ltd. has launched a tyre that is specially designed for Mahindra’s E-Rickshaw ‘e-Alpha Mini’. Named ‘CEAT MILAZE E-Rickshaw tyres’, these have 10% more NSD (Tyre Tread Depth) compared to the other available tyres in the market, which gives the rubber an extra long life. CEAT’s ‘MILAZE’ is one of the most successful tread patterns in the company’s 2 or 3-wheelers tyre segment. CEAT Milaze also delivers a higher life than the other tyres.
The tread compounds are primarily designed to make sure that the tyre offers high durability on bad and rough roads, and the connected blocks with tightly packed centre groove of the tread pattern ensure a comfortable ride for the passengers. Moreover, these tyres come with a high bead strength that can bear the weight up to 300 kg per tyre effortlessly which makes them perfect for the use in E-Rickshaws.
CEAT’s Vice President Marketing, Nitin Bajaj, while commenting on the new tyres said, it gives the company an immense pleasure to be associated with Mahindra & Mahindra for its first electric 3-wheeler launch. The ‘MILAZE E-Rickshaws’ have been developed and tested extensively through many procedures such as high pressure and high load conditions. Owing to these stringent testing, these tyres are best suited for E-Rickshaw application with longer tyre life and high durability. With the ever-evolving customers’ needs, their objectives have always been to deliver best in the class, thereby making travel safer and smarter.
The ‘CEAT MILAZE E-Rickshaw’ tyres are available in 90/90- 12 and at Rs. 746 NBP for the replacement market.
