Diwali Tips For Your Car

diwali celebration

Diwali, the festival of lights is celebrated with fervor across India. This festival brings friends and family together. But, it also comes with the hazard of firecrackers and lots of pollution. Obviously, you can’t control others but you can take precautions yourself. So, we thought to give you some tips on this Diwali for your car.

Follow these points to make sure your car is safe and secure:

● First and foremost avoid parking your car on streets or in open spaces where firecrackers may hit them. You never know when one can break your glasses or hurt the paint.

● If you are unable to follow the first point, then make sure you are there to see that children are not burning firecrackers near your car. It can prove deadly for people who are near it. As a single firecracker is enough to blow your car, if it hits the fuel tank.

● Keep the windows closed when you are parking in the open. Also, make sure that you are keeping windows up while driving, especially in crowded areas where you are most likely to encounter people blowing rockets, phuljhari and small cracker bombs.

● If your car is parked outside then avoid covering it with plastic or rexine covers. They are susceptible to catch fire easily.

● Carry a portable fire extinguisher in the car. This is something that’s always useful not just on Diwali.

● A Money Saving Tip: If your insurance has expired recently, “get its renewal done” at the earliest or else you might be at a great loss. Without insurance, you will have to empty your own pockets, in a case of getting hit by firecrackers. Even a single scratch or mark caused by cracker can cost you around INR 2,500 minimum.

● Lastly, you can save a good amount of bucks in this festive season if you are looking for vehicle insurance purchase or new vehicle purchase as this is not just a festive season, it is a season of deals and discounts.
