Bugatti Veyron is not just a car, but it is a supercar in every sense of it. A total of 450 of them were produced and sold worldwide to supercar lovers. A journey that started in 2005, finally came to an end in 2015. Bugatti Veyron is now been replaced by Bugatti Chiron (production limited to 500 cars), an advanced sports car that has flashes of Veyron in it.
Throughout the decade, when Veyron was in production, this sports car became a part of lots of myths and tales. Mainly exaggerated things that don’t even seemed logical were linked to the legendary car. People said it consumes too much petrol, some said its tires will burst within half an hour at the speed that this car can achieve, it takes in one minute the amount of air that a normal human can breathe in four days, etc. But, people hardly know the facts behind this almost mythical car that made it the “World’s Fastest Car”.

lesser known facts about Bugatti Veyron:
1. One of the most important elements that made Bugatti Veyron run so fast was its tyres. These tyres are also among world’s most expensive ones. Michelin, the French tyre making giant made tyres for Bugatti Veyron. These are made exclusively for Veyron and you can’t find them in any other vehicle. And, yes they do last more than half an hour (pun intended).
2. You won’t believe this one, but it takes 8 days to weld the fuel tank of this beauty.
3. You can decelerate Bugatti Veyron in a lesser time than you can accelerate it from 0-60 mph.
4. Bugatti Veyron’s fuel pumps can pump fuel 8-times faster than a normal car. Wow, that’s awesome!
5. Each of these cars undergoes strict testing in tough conditions. Once they are road tested till 500 kms, they are sent to a light tunnel and inspected thoroughly. And for that glittering look, they are polished solidly for 2-days.
6. The air brake of Veyron generates 70% braking force of the normal car when it is at an angle of 55 degrees.
7. It takes as long as 15 hours to build a single radiator of Veyron. There are a total 10 of those in a car.
8. A total of 10 family homes could get heat in winter by the waste energy that a running of 16.4 liters engine generates in the Bugatti Veyron.
9. Veyron comes with extraordinary brakes that can withstand the temperature as high as 1800 ° Celsius.
10. This one will come as a shocker to you. The whole car is divided into 3 parts which are joined by only 14 bolts…. Just imagine the strength of those bolts!
