One of the world’s oldest and largest tyre maker, Bridgestone Corporation recently announced the expansion of the company’s Olympic partnership activation rights. Bridgestone will now be able to activate its partnership globally effective January 1, 2017 through to 2024 in association with the Olympic Winter Games PyeongChang 2018, the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020, the Olympic Winter Games Beijing 2022 and the Olympic Games 2024.
Earlier, Bridgestone has successfully activated initial rights granted in Brazil, Japan, South Korea and the United States of America in association with the Olympic Games Rio 2016. Masaaki Tusuya (CEO, Bridgestone), was of the view that this is just the beginning for the company after initial success to leverage such a great platform. The company is looking forward to create brand awareness and attract fan following across the Globe.
Moreover, being a company of Asian origin, Bridgestone gets a great opportunity to showcase its prowess in the next three Olympics games as they are scheduled to be hosted in Asia. The IOC (International Olympic Committee) is also very happy partnering with Bridgestone Corporation, said, Thomas Bach (IOC President).
