At last week’s Board Meeting of ATMA (Automotive Tyre Manufacturers’ Association), the top body of the Indian tyre industry, the President of Apollo Tyres Ltd Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa, Mr Satish Sharma been elected unanimously as the Chairman.
Mr. Sharma has held important portfolios in Apollo Tyres during his more than 20 years of service at the company. ATMA was set up in 1975 and represents Rs. 53,000 crore automotive tyre industry of the country.
ATMA connects the tyre manufacturers and the Government and assists in relevant policy formulation with regard to the tyre industry. It publishes industry data on a timely basis and brings out status notes on various industry issues.
